Lindsay Mac is a trained singer, originally from Montreal, and have been singing since the age of 4. She started off her career singing in the EMSB Choir where she was given the opportunity to sing solos, compete at the ARCIM Festival, and travel across sea's to sing in Europe. She gained the experience to sing in front of large audiences and knew she would be singing for people the rest of her life.Shortly after leaving the choir Lindsay started acting in movies, stared in a musical (Cabaret) and had even done some modeling. She had been given small roles in movies and t.v shows such as Cafe Ole, Moving, and Ciao Bella. After reading in the news paper that the Canadian Showcase for Models and Talent were coming to Montreal to scout out new talent Lindsay jumped on the occasion and started rehearsing for her audition. She made it through round 1 and 2 and was asked to sign a contract and audition for the BIG record labels and Talent agents in Toronto. Once in T.O she met with managers from Virgin Records, Sony BMG, JL Records and many more. She was advised to move to Toronto to pursue her career in music and film. And she did.Within 1 month L.Mac had recorded her first C.D with Apollo Records and moved to the BIG city. She landed a role on Showcase's "Queer As Folk" and in a movie called "Freak". She then decided she would start organizing events and fundraisers for the Canadian Cancer Society and brought big Jazz performers from around Toronto together to sing for the cause. L.Mac being one of those performers of course.7 years had gone by and Lindsay decided she wanted to move back to Montreal to gain more experience under her belt. She recorded with Red Rhino Records, sang and collaborated on a C.D raising awareness to prevent street violence in Canada, went to school in Interior Design, and played in a movie called "Piche: Entre Ciel et Terre".Recently Lindsay Mac has decided to take a course in January with AQTIS (the Quebec union for Film Makers) and work on movie sets as 3rd Assistant Director. Also she is pleased to announce that she has joined the Lyric Theatre Singers and is singing in various shows in the upcoming year. She hopes to expand her knowledge in music and eventually land a solo part in the June production. Lindsay is working very hard to accomplish that goal and is excited for her future endeavours.
