Can these words within this box really describe who I am? Is there really a way to situate the words and lay them out so after reading it you can truly know me? I don’t think any of us can. I guess if I had one word to describe who I am I would use the word loving.
I love everybody as I would love myself, that’s what the bible has taught me anyways. I wasn’t always like this, in fact I have tasted the bitterness of hate, jealously, and anger many times over. I would like to tell you that life is peachy and the sunshine follows me everywhere I go, but that would not be truthful. I’m not complaining because I love just being me. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am who I am and that’s all we really need to be.
I love art and looking back on my life I can see over the years I have painted my life with darkness and vibrant colors. A great painting needs the darks and the lights to become a masterpiece. It wouldn’t look right without them.
I am a devoted Christian and a husband to a beautiful lady. I couldn’t describe who I am without mentioning my wife because the six years I have been married she has become a part of me. I love her dearly. I also have a great family and also love them deeply.
God once told me that love is the key that opens all doors. I found that to be true. So I hope that the words I have used here can let you know that I care for everyone. No matter what color, gender, or faults you may think you have.
I guess I will leave you with one of my favorite scriptures that I think that can really describe how I would like to live my life:
“And so dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice – the kind he will accept. If you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.†(Romans 12:1)
