Who is this man?Born somewhere near Brussels in 1974, and lived happily in a small town called Tollembeek for those who wanna explore the mans profile in depth.
Anyway, he liked doing one-man-radio shows in his bedroom and listened to a lot of crap as a youngster to be very honest. Luckily he evolved and slowly explored new flavours. From indie rock and new wave in the early years to dance music in general later, he started to develop his own musical style, a bald and exotic blend of genres which is now more or less common thanks to people like 2manydjs, the Glimmers, Idjut boys, Optimo and Rub-n-tug to name but a few.
First only playing parties on cd-players without pitch control (hell yeah) after all weve deeply penetrated the nineties then checking out his first vinyls and learning the skills of a real dj cowboy.
In 2001 his djing got in a faster lane as the mighty and highly respected dj Jan Van Biesen asked him to provide an eclectic break beat set for his Switch radio show on Belgian national radio Studio Brussel. With a seamless one hour set of old and new stuff he broke a few hearts.
From then on his alter ego del piero is born. He plays several smaller parties and clubs, most of all in his hometown Ghent.
In 2002 he supports Belgian popband Das Pop on their gigs in Ghent and Amsterdam.
Up till 2006 he had a rather easy period, so he got himself into practicing Chinese, reading old Time magazines and having a total facelift.
From 2006 .. one of the coldest winters since years he got into editing: old with new, tasteful with cheesy, whatever comes up his mind.
Both his promos (Janet Jackson vs !!! pardon their freedom & Justice vs Luisa Fernandez lay love on you) got immediate airplay on national radio (Mish Mash - Studio Brussel) and big shouts from hotshots Erol Alkan, the Glimmers and Cosy Mozzy. Thx folks!
In February 2006 he was supporting (Belgians first soulband ever) Lalalover on their kick off concert in the well known Ancienne Belgique in Brussels.
Check out the sound section for the completed remix of the new dEUS "what we talk (when we talk about love). It's been selected by Belgian national radio Studio Brussel as best 4 out of more then hundred other poor creative souls!
Oh, also in 2006 he reworked a venus in flames track and took it to a euh...whole new dimension.
2007 & 2008 were more like inspiring years as he strenghtend his partnership with friendfellow Carlito for back 2 back dj-sets throughout Belgium.
I think we are all kinda curious what 2009 will bring...
cheers
