Held at the Jamalco Sports Club in Clarendon, the bMobile Beenie Man Summer Sizzle proved to be a show that one couldn't miss. Clyde McKenzie, an executive at Shocking Vibes Production, told TEENage that "Sizzle, I think, is probably one of the top five music festivals in Jamaica right now", adding that the promotors didn't postpone the show because of "a very heavy upfront cost, that we can't afford to put off".After a slew of young Shocking Vibes artistes, the big names started to come on. And the biggest 'foward' for the night, went to the smallest of all performers, QQ. The 11-year-old sent the crowd into an uncontrollable frenzy, And after a lyrically lethal performance, the young singer left the stage as shouts of "bring 'im back" came from the crowd. Akon came, and showed that he was a worthy wait in a performance that saw him jumping from the stage, over the heads of about 50-VIP's, and into the crowd, and almost being stripped. Mya did show and gave a slightly entertaining performance. Foxy Brown, performing for the first time since her hearing debacle, also put in an appearance. At approximately 6:30 am, the self-proclaimed King of the Dancehall, Beenie Man, took to the stage. After dubbing his performance 'Beenie in concert', the doc awoke the sleep-laden patrons with a gripping one-hour performance, that involved Mafia House artiste and wife D'Angel, as well as fellow Shocking Vibes act Tanto Metro and Devonte. It was Rising Stars night as both judge Nadine Sutherland and contestant Brushy One-String (pictured with Beenie Man) put in good performances.Of worthy mention are Macka Diamond, Nadine Sutherland, Black-er, Kiprich, Capleton, Vybz Kartel, and Brushy One-String. So as Ernesto loomed, fans turned out, no-shows popped up, and acts thrilled. In the end, the bMobile Beenie Man Summer Sizzle did more than sizzle, it burned
