Jo, donning her John Peel t-shirt was the final act of the evening. She took to the stage and seemed immediately comfortable. It was almost as though she had hypnotised the audience who stayed quiet and listened even when she played the most delicate of ballads - no mean feat.Jo too was singing her own original songs and playing acoustic guitar. Her voice is gorgeous; warm and velvety. Think k.d.lang or Joan Armatrading but with her own distinct flavour. Her guitar style is reminiscent of The Whos acoustic version of Pinball Wizard - if youve never heard it, its awesome. If you conjure up Pete Townshend meets Tracy Chapman, then youre in the zone, but the only real way to get my point is to go and see Jo Bailey play.Jo is a natural performer. You can see that within two minutes, but its not staged flamboyant showmanship, shes confident but endearingly coy at the same time. Her songs are short and sweet and considering shes one woman and a guitar, she has the vital ability to arrange her songs. Her lyrics are honest and engaging. She sings Ask me no questions and Ill tell you no lies but I get the feeling that if you did ask her questions, shed reply with insightful, evocative, beautiful verse

About Jo-
..Jo's was classically trained at an early age. At 15 she threw out her violin
picked up her guitar and joined a punk Band!!!!She never looked Back.At 16 She wrote a musical score for a Theatre Co. from London.
Many doors opened for her but she only wiped her feet on the mat and never went inside. After being disollusioned with music and leaving her passion in life behind, Jo Recently decided to give up her Job, take a demotion and a huge pay cut. (Is she totally mad!) To spend more time writing. As well as her solo stuff she also runs music events/festival for GIRLS OUT LOUD She's in a band called Lonesomes and she also runs the Women In Music Network UK website
Jo's currently in the Studio recording her new Album!!div
