Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Gabrielle witnessed the best and worst of what inner city life has to offer. While witnessing the effects of drugs and alcohol in her home and community, to seeing up close the murder of her dear friend, Gabrielle was able to translate her joys and pains into a wonderful tapestry of poetry. Growing up in the streets of Newark, was tough, and writing was a way to keep out of trouble. It was cathartic, and kept her focused on realizing her dream of becoming an author. She completed her first screenplay, Divided Souls at the tender age of 18. Divided Souls will become a novel at some point.Utilizing the resurgence of her desire to write and "a God given talent that wouldn't go away", Elissa Gabrielle was inspired to pen Peace In The Storm, which has testimonials from some of the entertainment industry's finest. Peace In The Storm came to Gabrielle while reflecting real life experiences, both her own and from the lives of others. In 2007, Elissa Gabrielle returns with her best release to date: A tantalizing debut novel filled with Tenderness, Treachery and Temptation.
