Influences: Born in d Norf Western province,SIFU CHAN a member of SHAOLIN S.D.M.D has developed his musical style growing up listening 2 all genres of music. CHAN has been producing and writing his own material for a number of years. formally CHAN had been a member of VERBAL ABUSE (b-zang,vicious,chan,) in 2003 the members of VERBAL ABUSE then joined up with a number of people from the area who also had d same interest and style of music and SHAOLIN S.D.M.D was born in 2005.... at that time the crew members was;B-zang,Chan,Points,Dago Monk,striker man,Freeze,Vicious,shadow kid,DJ Scorpion,Gapz,Envy-Slu & T.o.p.p.a(r.i.p) we began movin up in d radio scene and had regular shows on a number of radio stations...(unique fm,react fm,frontline fm,freeze fm,manic fm,life fm and more)also we put together our first mixtape(DEADMANS ALLEY) wid no proffesional eqquipment(P.C and a pair of Head Phones) to work with and put it on road. Things was goin well until d tragic loss of producer/mc (T.o.p.p.a) which led to the crew drifting apart as T.o.p.p.a was a strong presence among the shaolin members and everyone was affected by his passing away.In 2007 SHAOLIN S.D.M.D re-grouped to start makin music again,but not all original members returned apart from CHAN,B-ZANG & POINTS... we all decided to get back into d music scene so we put together a mixtape in early 2008 (in 2 weeks) called DREAMS & AGENDAZ to build up our interest in the music scene and create a hype. During the making of DREAMS & AGENDAZ, SHAOLIN S.D.M.D recruited two new members (SHAKA & TEMPLE) who both feature on tracks (PAIN:feat-SHAKA & WOT R U ERE 4:feat-TEMPLE) from the mixtape.Currently SHAOLIN S.D.M.D have been self-promoting ourselves wherever possible via mixtape and videos made independantly by crew members. We are in the process of our second mixtape (PRO'S & CON'S) which should be ready later this year including videos,T-shirts and more.....
