I am what you would call a graying-haired, middle-aged, head-injured, hippy sort of chick. I am very easy going most of the time unless you are one of the certain few people who have *really* pushed me over the edge...you know who you are...I maybe be watching you right now.
I am into doing renaissance faires and festivals. Have done so for quite a few years now, but less since moving to MN to hang out with and help my 81 year old Mom. My Dad died a couple of years ago so even though there is other family around to help, I am the only one who is free enough to be there most of the time. My Mom and Dad adopted me when I was just 6 weeks old. Several years ago I found my birth mother who is WAY cool. I have spoken to my birth father, but have yet to meet him. I feel very lucky that they made the decision to let me be raised in a very (almost too) stable home.
I like my animals. I have had dogs and cats for like all my life. Right now is one of the few times I have been without my own dog. I have wanted another dog ever since my beloved rottie Trouble died, but he was such a great dog I don't know if another could ever live up to my standards. There are 2 cats that let me take care of them right now...Deja will be 6 on 10/6/07 and Sorren the Viking Kitten just turned 1 on 3/3/07. I live on a farm so there are assorted "yard" cats milling about to keep the mice down.
Speaking of "farm"...I really live in the middle of nowhere. The town that I live 5 miles out of is only 1600 people and that is when everyone is home. We used to milk cows...Jersey cows to be exact...the cute brown ones. My Dad pretty much born a farmer and died one. I'm glad I grew up where I did, but never felt like I belonged anywhere until I moved to San Diego...it will always be HOME to me.
