my poem:Fears and Tears Krista Koeppl My heart pounds and my body trembles I see his face and my temper flares He averts his eyes and begins to mumble I walk away knowing he never caredHe grabs my hand and squeezes tight I look back unsure what to do He wraps around me in the cold, cold night I ask, “What’s wrong with you?â€He looks in my eyes and I see the tears I look away not trusting him He says, “Losing you is my fear†My heart lifts on a whimI remember the way things were My heart drops sinking down Even lower than before I look into his eyes trying not to drownI say so confidently, “I can’t go back†He drops to the ground and begins to cry I kneel down beside him and with a pat Say, “Unless you promise to at least try.â€
