Grand Wazoo writes music that is described as progressive analogue jazz-funk. The sextet integrates live-electronics into its music. As can be heard on “Grand Wazoo†(2004), “Room 19†(2005) and on the newest release "Zooology" (2007). At the moment the band is further expanding its repertoire of electronic and acoustic instrumentation, improvisation and groove.

Grand Wazoo performed on Festival aan de Werf, Wicked Jazz Sounds, Het Juttersfestival, De Popronde, 301, Blijburg, Casablanca, De Badcuyp, Nomadome (Amsterdam), SJU jazzpodium (Utrecht), Simplon, De Spieghel (Groningen), De Schouw (Rotterdam) and many more locations.
In 2004 Grand Wazoo won the jazz competition of the UvA Cultural Festival, and in 2005 the band won the second prize at the Amsterdam Student Jazzfestival in the Melkweg (Amsterdam).
