***"This is what you should do: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and the crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of the rest of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in a book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body..."Preface to Leaves of Grass***I'm a sophomore at COA, and I am having a blast. I am majoring in Human Ecology, it studies the interconnections between people and the environment. I'm not too sure what I want to do with my life but I know it involves the ocean. Maybe the director of an education program at an aqaurium somewhere, that sounds cool. But for now, I'm enjoying just studying aside the beautiful Frenchman's Bay! It's cold but I'll suck it up!!!
Your Inner Child Is Sad
You're a very sensitive soul.
You haven't grown that thick skin that most adults have.
Easily hurt, you tend to retreat to your comfort zone.
You don't let many people in - unless you've trusted them for a long time.
How Is Your Inner Child?
How You Live Your Life
You seem to be straight forward, but you keep a lot inside.
You're laid back and chill, but sometimes you care too much about what others think.
You tend to have one best friend you hang with, as opposed to many aquaintences.
You tend to dream big, but you worry that your dreams aren't attainable.
