Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles series is a must read.Dune of course is excellent, anything by shakespeare(they actually plays but whose counting) my favourite is Much Ado about Nothing, it has such brilliant battle of wits. Isaac Asimov's "Foundation" series is also a must read, and Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy series.
