One record will be standing head and shoulders above the rest this summer. Proclaimed as ‘the biggest tune of Miami’, the record is ‘Warped Bass’ and the producer is French house maestro, Richard Grey.‘Warped Bass’ is a 2007 interpretation of the classic Soft Cell hit from 1981 ‘Tainted Love’ and features vocals from Marc Almond himself. ‘Warped Bass’ began life as a bass driven instrumental on Ibiza based, Pacha Records before being signed by one of the UK’s leading dance labels, Apollo Records and reworked with the original Marc Almond vocal. ‘Tainted Love’ is a track that remains as popular today as it was when it topped the charts worldwide in 1981 and Richard Grey pays proper respect with his reworking. Remixes come from two of the hottest producers around; Dave Spoon and Sharam, both delivering cool, quality mixes making this an unmissable package.

Worlds Biggest Flashmob Event, Playing Big Bass Vs Michelle Narine
Paddington Station, London 30/11/06

More than 3,500 people turned Paddington station into a dancefloor for the biggest flash mob ever.
The crowd, armed with MP3 players and earphones, mingled with commuters waiting to board trains when suddenly at 19.18 they burst into dance.
All the clubbers had responded to an email telling them to go to the station and switch on the ..nu rave.. anthem What You Do (Playing With Stones) by Big Bass in unison.
One onlooker said: "There was a loud whooping and suddenly the crowds congregated in the centre of the station. Everyone was plugged into MP3 players so there was no music to be heard. It was just a mass of bodies dancing and gyrating silently."
