Liars and Thieves

late one night, high up on an undisclosed building downtown, rahl takes a drag off of his cigarette and throws to the street below. he thinks, " this is all there is to life --duty, it is time , dear boy, to throw your self on to your sword. there is no meaning, only an endless repition of days." and before he makes that plunge onto the street eighteen floors belows, something to his right catches his eye--another cigarette is dancing toward the city floor. that is when rahl and sal first meet. allways the gentelmen, sal asks " shall you jump first or shall i? today is the day of my birth and also the day that i shall die." but the two of them are not alone on that rooftop. another possible jumper to there left, asks , " can i have one of those?" pointing to a cigaette pack by rahl's feet. rahl tosses him a smoke, and he takes one of those john wayne style hollywood drags. as he exhales, he say's, " my name is tyler. lets start a rock band."
