THE JOKE IS OVER FOLKS

About Me

Cinema formed in the summer of 2004. After jamming, writing, laughing, yelling, and crying, some songs were created. These songs would form the nucleus of their initial live repertoire and first demo, 'Yes We Will.'
They played their first show in early 2005 at Sneaky Dee's, with more to follow that year at different venues around Toronto. The band went on hiatus during the summer when Ryan and Bronwen went to the UK to distribute demos and gain experience abroad. Riffs were recorded and lyrics were jotted down in between shifts at their pub job in London. The full band would regroup once again the following year with a rapid succession of shows coming their way in 2006, along with a new batch of songs, some adequate press in the UK and new allies.
By 2007, they played more shows in Toronto and London and finished recording their latest release, 'Poisoning The Fat Cats.'
Cinema is driven primarily by 90s alternative and punk via a three-piece line-up. Oh, and most importantly, they like to have fun when they play.
Keep your eyes and ears open for new songs and shows soon!
