A true definition of hustler turned rapper. The artist known as Eddy Brock hails from the county of Dade.
Born Feb. 23,1982 as Djuan Francois to a Haitian father and American mother. Brock encountered many obstacles in life and most of them were as an adolescence which later influenced most of the music he writes. His parents separated a year later after his birth only to inherit his father’s worst trait , Brock later started listening to all types of music at an early age from gospel to old school hip hop to jazz and contemporary. In his early years Brock was a singer getting ready to make a debut on Apollo around the years of 92 and 93. At that time his mother could only afford a one room apt next to a railroad track on the 7th floor. Life for Brock was changing his voice was changing while others had nice homes and lavish allowance and new clothes and shoes and so much Brock always had just enough to get by. Around that time the only rap influence Brock had was Easy E , Dr. Dre ice cube snoop dogg and NWA until 2 very important rap albums came out and changed his entire aspect on the game. The first album was me against the world and the 2nd was ready to die. Which at that time Brock was ready to die hanging over the 7th floor. Brock worked hard to purchased these albums and learned every word to every song . 2pac and biggie became such a big influence at the time because Brock was crossing over from singing to rapping. It was a short lived moment until his grandmother threw away his 2pac and biggie album which for only a moment crushed his world . Time went by but it never stop Brock from being influenced more biggie songs came out and more and more people thought he resemble the Notorious B.I.G . He already knew the songs so it was only a matter of time before people asked him to rap. It was at that moment he started writing his own rhymes. The popularity grew amongst his peers and more and more were asking him to rap. All of this carried on into high school. Anything from selling candy to breaking into homes Brock did what he could to get his money for his music. Soon a deal would come on the table to record his first album. Only after 8 songs into recording his first album the label gave in and stop production . Animosity grew for the label expected him to be more like the up and coming rapper Blac Haze. Brock was determined to distinguish himself from other Miami artist and wanted to tell his story and not some fictionalized persona like most of the rappers today. Time went on and the former ceo of the label was indicted on fraud . Soon brock started making music with his own keyboard and met up with a local producer who played guitar and drums and was into live music behind rappers . The two connected and begin the legacy of what Brock is today. A self made artist-producer-composer-engineer. During a stint between 97 and 2000, Brock recorded his 2nd and 3rd lp wrote his 3rd and 4th , went to school for a few months and came back to record his 5th album and 6th album. The relationship and contract ended with the producer leaving the current albums shelved. Leaving Brock again back to square one . Soon Brock met local artist Tommy clipps and o-dawg a.k.a. killa. That’s when things started to changed. From a short lived stint on mosound entertainment to a broader aspect on DIMENDOGG RECORDS. Owner and ceo of DIMENDOGG RECORDS paved the way for Brock to become and engineer/producer/composer/artist all wrapped in one. For the past 4 yrs Brock has recorded an un precedent 200 songs and counting from mix tape to album to features. The content of this music is a life within it self get ready for the life the legacy and the music of EDDY BROCK. Coming to a block near you!!!!!!
