My interests vary widely. I love anything that intrigues the imagination in almost any form but my favorite is the artistic utility type of thinking. I am drawn by things that are utilitarian in nature but have a soul marked by the artistic energy of the maker. I enjoy photography, quilting, computers and graphic arts. Films and theater, concerts, music, fashion, cooking, budgeting (I am a sucker for a deal)...philosophy, sociology, history, gossip, good tips, homeopathy, collecting anything, decorating, wasting time every once in a while. If ur always in a hurry or lazy as shit, we probably won't mesh either. U gotta have a sense of what's important not just fun or disciplined.
Okay, here is my disclaimer... I am in the middle of my divorce, it's just that MySpace does not have "seperated" as an option.Friends. I would love to surround myself with people who not only have an interest but more to have a passion for discovering themselves and the path they have been selected to take. I want jokesters and pacifists. Intellects facinate me but only if they let me pick their brain. I love to people watch so artists and creative people mix well with my personality and intrests. I am not out to find just like minded people. I want to meet people who are not against pop culture or trends because to me, it represents where we are at the moment as a society. I enjoy company of people who are not afraid of everything.
I love it when people challenge the establishment with grace, not fervor.
First of all, I don't watch anything that has anything evil, or has any violence that is exaggerated for entertainment purposes only. I can't watch any action movies or comedies that base the plot around uncovering a lie or deception for suspense or diversion . Death doesn't bother me in movies but only if it belongs in the story. I enjoy discussing the philosophies of movies (no matter how mundane of a movie). I like any documentries about social subjects.Anything tim burton touches (The nightmare before christmas, edward scissorhands, big fish, the corpse bride, charlie and the chocolate factory, frankenweenie, Vincent, beetlejuice etc.The sixth sense, the others, the village, 50 1st dates, spanglish, walk the line, pulp fiction, cast away, forest gump, riding in cars with boys...I like dramas, smart comedies, and some suspense. I am not very good for watching horror or violent movies because I get really into the movie and become very stressed out as if that was me they were chasing. I hate that.
WEEDS is the most original drama ever and am entranced every week by these characters. Six feet under, Medium, sex and the city, oprah (yes I dare to admit!!), true life, the view, Big love (hbo), real sex, pornucopia, taxicab confessions, intervention, murphy brown, grounded for life, dirty jobs...as u can see I watch alot of tv and love discussing it too.
These R the books I recommend reading. White Oleander I liked better in book form.
..Check out what I bitch about in my blogs.
