I am here for Friends

About Me

Fair Warning, ye who enter here. The occupant is not completely sane.9/17 UPDATE: Excerpt from mssg to a friend, thought it was appropriate to tell all of you. Hope everyone (+ friends & family) is doing wonderfully. "I've been single for about 95% of the past three years and have FINALLY reached a place where I am perfectly fine with being alone, working on myself for myself and not for a man - actually liking myself again, though there are still a million things I need to change (namely bad habits). I think I might even copy this and put it in my profile (which never gets updated) so people don't think I'm dead. Just trying to stay steady & stable for the sake of myself, and even more importantly, my boy - the less drama I invite/create, the better. Which means continuing classes, making a living, and simply learning to love and live better (God, I hope)."My life basically centers around my son, my friends and family, and my spirituality. Everything else can go by the wayside. I believe that the most important aspect of life is to love and to be loved - what else will we carry down to our graves?EDIT: It's been a long time since I've updated anything on this page. I still believe love is what is most important, though maybe simply loving and being loved isn't what makes you stronger or a better person. Maybe just realizing that is helpful on the road to recovery and redemption.I think I'm OK with admitting that I just don't f*cking know who I am.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I believe just about everyone has something to offer. Whether it is his or her idea, life lesson, advice, creativity, etc., there have not been too many who I was unable to learn SOMETHING from. However - I must admit I enjoy meeting "mad geniuses." And nonconformists. And free-thinkers.EDIT: Who I'd REALLY like to meet? God. I'd be scared to death, but I sure would love to have a conversation or ten with Him.UPDATE 9/17: I'd love to meet & pick the brains of plenty of musicians, authors, actors, actresses, political figures, and other types of world-shakers - wouldn't we all? Of course, some reasons are more savory than others - for instance, Cate Blanchett. I'd grovel at her feet in awe. I'd also love to see Gerard Butler nude in person as he looked in 300. Or shoot the shit w/ Oprah and tell her how she should run for president. =D No, I couldn't meet our current president. It would be too incredibly hard to fake a show of respect.
