About Me

Performer, Author, Teacher, Scholar and Jazz Trumpeter from Detroit

............................................................ ........................................
Lucky enough to encounter people like Betty Carter, James Carter, and Donald Byrd at an early age at Northwestern High School, I have grown to love a music that I call my own, yet share with the world- JAZZ. My beginnings as a young performer in small venues and jazz festivals has blossomed into a career and academic record that I'm proud of. I enjoy traveling and encountering people from all over the world that have a love for a music that has never really been mainstream, but cool enough to last thoughout the century. I have stood on stages with Jackie McClean, Sam Rivers, Fred Wesley, Aretha Franklin, Terence Blanchard, Wendell Brunious, Hal Galper, Peter Martin, Clyde Kerr, and Aaliyah. Now, I compose my own tunes and teach while working towards completing grad studies. Thanks Detroit, Thanks New Orleans, Thanks Atlanta

Music Business

The business of music is like politics. Only those with the most money to influence popular opinion win, and those that don't campaign lose the race.
