It was never easy making life changing decisions. But when those decisions are made for you, it's just as difficult to adapt. Growing up in the streets of Newark, New Jersey, Cleveland had to find ways to adjust to many of these life altering moves. He lost his father at the age of 13, which took a toll on him. And he still deals with that today. Then, at the age of 22 he lost his grandmother which he has also had to cope with. But, through all the trails and tribulations, Cleveland has still managed to walk through the fire and not get burned.Putting together an "image" for him is impossible because it is clear that he is never out of place. From the moment that he chose to use his government name ('Cleveland) for music, it was clear that he was going to stray from the traditional ways of the artist. His demeanor is always calm. And it seems as if he always has a smile on his face. But, when Cleveland gets in the booth, it is never long before you can feel his pain and his joy. Vivid pictures are painted for the world to see and hear all that he has made it through. If his gritty voice and New Jersey swagger don't, a series of witty metaphors are sure to help breeze listeners through his stories of life. Some say that caged up emotions eventually lead to a person breaking down. Well, in Cleveland's case, it makes for classic music that anyone who as ever felt pain can relate to. He is Still Starvin to reach true happiness. And on a musical, professional, and a personal level, that drive is sure to get him where he needs to be. What hasn't killed him has only made him stronger and the world is about to bear witness to the strength of one of New Jersey's finest.
