A dark being lurks in the shadows

About Me

I was just a young kid when I discovered the wonder of Madd Frank. I always looked forward to each weeks film fright with the utmost anticipation. When he started In the mid-late 80s his show consisted of a black and white feature (The Wolfman, Creature from the black lagoon, Dracula..ect) with breaks of Madd Frank delivering jokes about the film and getting into ghoulish trouble. His jokes were always cheezy and silly, and even had a drumbeat when he said the punchline. Sometimes, Frank and his cohorts would act out parts of the movie with their own twists. He even had a "mail segment" where he would read fan mail on-air. Of course not before the mail would be tossed on his desk tied to a rubber chicken. Not all of his friends were human (or living). He provided voice for a skull candle named George, a doll named Miss Frizzy, and a coffin ghoul named Harvey. His show ran into the 90s and at the height of the show it aired in over 40 states and to millions of viewers! He hung up his cape in the late 90s with a final "live" show at the Fargo Theatre in Fargo,ND. I attended and got an autograph and briefly chatted with the man himself. He now focuses on writing novels...
