Krista Crommett

The recordings on this myspace page represent Krista's lifelong journey in music. Krista has been lending her unique vocal stylings to various songwriters, bands and projects over the years, from her work in the NYC folk and rock clubs in the '90's right up to more recent collaborations with electronic project Discovalenti. Originally fron Maine, she moved to New York to study theatre at NYU but soon found her true passion to be singing. Soon enough she'd be playing in jazz ensembles in the Village, busking her way through Ireland with an acoustic guitar, forming folk/rock band the Valentines ( and later Nomi) and playing throughout the NYC club scene at venues such as CBGB's and the Bitter End. Although compared to singers such as Annie Lennox, Tracy Thorn and Sarah McLachlan, Krista also has a voice all her own and is forging her way through life as a singular vocal spirit.
