About Me

Download FREE MixtapeGreww was born and raised in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He first fell in love with Hip Hop when his mother took him to see “Fat Boys, Whodini, and New Edition,” in concert. He has been hooked every since. In middle school he formed a rap group with two of his close friends. The name of their group was called, “The Nike Posse.” Greww went by the name of “Beat Master Nike.” He used every opportunity to expand his rap career and practice on his rhyming skills. One of the opportunities that came his way was performing at a friend’s family reunion in a talent show. After loosing a beat box battle in the school hallways to Curt 2 Thou, the two started doing music together. Greww was the MC and Curt 2 Thou was the DJ. Greww had found his true calling in the lyrical sense of Hip Hop and The Nike Posse soon went their separate ways. Although Greww was doing well and able to hold his own it did not hurt when he came across an added bonus with K-Dope as they soon formed the group “K L Smooth.” They recorded two songs which were titled, “Roaming The Halls,” and “What’s That Style.” The songs remained underground, but even though the two songs never reached main stream it did not keep people from hearing about them such as a rapper named “Dee Symbolized.” “K L Smooth,” blended with “Dee Symbolized,” along with getting two dancers Shawn Luckey and TJ, and they formed the group known as “Brothers In The Realm.” The group entered talent shows and made a demo that they sent out to Major labels which turned out to be only dead ends. There was no time for disappointments for Greww, with Curt 2 Thou still by his side, in 1998 an owner of a local Indie Label connected with Curt 2 Thou and heard some of Greww’s music. It was then that Greww signed his first record deal. Greww was featured on two CD’s while signed to “Lock -N- Load Entertainment,” titled “Tha Dirty South” and the “Internal Flames” album. Greww begin to come into his own and parted ways with “Lock -N- Load Entertainment,” so that he can focus on his solo career. On his new found journey Greww started his own record label “Archrival Entertainment,” under which he released a snippet cassette tape that he gave away free. Still keeping his feet to the streets he released his first CD entitled “Carolina Cats.” He was featured on mix tapes such as “Illegal Procedures,” “Welcome To The Tre 4,” “Hott Headed,” “From The Basement,” and “Plan Your Escape Vol. 2” with DJ Snakeeyes. After a lot of hard work and perseverance Greww built two studios and has released the highly anticipated album “The Heir To The Throne.” Be on the look out for Greww’s next release “Big Biznezz,” the mixtape. In the very near future there will be more hot things to come, “Straight out of the trunk,” the DVD and book which will showcase and document what it takes to release your own CD. For now keep your ear to the streets and the heat under your feet. Stand up Carolina let’s support our independent and underground music. If you want to hook up on any collaborations or features don’t hesitate to holla at your boy Greww. ..
