About Me

Markus Apitius' first gig was with the school choir when they performed Bach's St. Matthew Passion. After classical training (piano and cello) he started to write his own music and songs. Having finished school he travelled around as a busker and played in various bands (The Cast, Alien Fire).

In 1994 Warm & Wild was released, the first album under his own name. After spending the following years with several more bands (So Far, Jo'N, Garland, Alan Moorhouse) In God's Machine came out in 2005. Since then he started concentrating more and more on his own music and released Los Angeles in 2007.

Live he presents his songs either solo or together with Christian Schaal (bass, vocals), Matthias Ebbinghaus (perc, vocals) and various guest musicians.

His new album Golden Parachute will be out in August 2009.
