TO MY HERO I can't believe we have to say goodbye And go through many days without you by our side I watch you stand so proud and tall I pray to our Lord that I will not fall I know this is what God will have you do But our lives will be incomplete without you You are the most amazing man that ever could be Because you are of the ones that keeps our country free It is hard for me to comprehend that you will eat, sleep, and fight on foreign sand You're so unselfish: you do this to protect our beloved homeland Because the freedom we all have did not come for free It was won with the lives of other Marines you see Men who gave it all, who put it all on the line Some who would sadly fall and leave us all behind I admire and love you because you will step out of sight Of your family and friends and do what is right Protecting those who are in need of help Who cannot stand up and fight You will help make their futures bright With honor shinning in your eyes you hold your chin up high, Knowing God knows all your fears our blessed Savior will catch every one of our tears I understand that you made this choice because you love this land And you will defend it with you life, for that is why you stand. So to our four little ones, Daddy has to leave you now And if you never meet again I know he's made you proud.
