I picked the bass in 1996, if memory serves, because of my circumstances. Ever since then I’ve been learning that playing it means far more than playing the bass just as playing any other instrument means more than only master one’s skills on that instrument. Music can be one’s life but life is far more lavish so music should serve life not the other way round.
