About Me

Hi all of you all out there in cyberspace, I am Aneesa, ok so maybe you knew that. Ok first of all I can't believe I'm doing this!! I'm on MySpace. Before you all start teasing me, the reason that I did this is to be intouch with all my peeps!! hehe. I also wanted to be able to let you know by using MySpace to be very careful of the content that you put on this site. Remember that other people have access to your info. So please be cautious of the pics and the comments that you post. Ok enough of the Mom lecture, because after all, I am a Mom.
So anyway, my name is Aneesa Plumey aka Aneesa Ruiz aka Aneesa Emamali (my maiden name). I am 31 years old and married to the most wonderful man in the world, Javier. We have a beautiful, fun, energetic son, Lucas who is the light of our lives. My husband and I have been heading up our youth ministry at San Isidro Catholic Church for 5 years now. Incidentally, that is where we met some 15 years ago. I love being Catholic and I love teaching others about the Catholic faith.

My Interests

GOD, my Catholic Faith, my husband, my son, all the youth in the ministry, my family, anything Disney, football, Christian music, reading, going on vacation and just having fun throughout life!!

I'd like to meet:

Pope Benedict XVI, President George W. Bush, the Violet Burning (my fav Christian Band), the entire Miami Dolphins football team (my fav football team), J.K. Rowling, Keanu Reeves ;) and Rachael Ray (a Chef on the Food Network).

Music:

Ok I love anything from my favorite band "the Violet Burning". They are the coolest Christian band ever!! I also love anything from MuteMath, U2, Plumb, Mae, David Crowder, the Savior Machine, delirious?, the GooGoo Dolls, the Killers, listening to new bands who are not yet known and anything from the 80's (dudes that was the music I grew up listening to!!)

Movies:

Alright, don't laugh, but I love the Harry Potter Movies, The Matrix Trilogy, all the Star Wars movies, Elf, 10 things I hate about you, Untamed Heart and Finding Nemo, just to name a few. We took Lucas to the movies for the first time to see "Over the Hedge" so it will be one of my favorites just cuz it was the 1st movie my baby ever saw in the movie theater, his next movie is going to be "Cars". Of course....I can't forget PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN!! (I can't wait to see #3).

Television:

I love ER, the Office, My Name is Earl, Project Runway, Jimmy Neutron and anything on the Disney Channel and the Food Network. Now because of Lucas we are constantly watching the Backyardians!! (I don't mind them, they go on cool adventures and their songs kinda stay with you).

Books:

The Bible, All the "Harry Potter" Books by J.K. Rowling "Five Loaves and Two Fish" by Cardinal Francis Xavier Nguyen Van Thuan, "The Lamb's Supper" by Scott Hann, "The Red Tent" by Anita Diamant, "The Song of Hannah" by Eva Etziono-Halevy, All the books in "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" series by Alexander McCall Smith, "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold, "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley, "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho and "The Weight of Water" by Anita Shreve, to name just a few.

Heroes:

Pope John Paul II, Mother Teresa, My Daddy, My Husband, all of the beautiful kids I met in Colombia, Father Roberto Garza, my Mission Trip brothers and sisters, all the people in the world who defend the Right to Life for the unborn and those who fight for the protection of marriage.
