Hampton comes ALIVE! again.

About Me

Smiling is highly underrated. I grew up in Arkansas and moved to Kansas City about four years ago for a job. I recently moved back to Fayetteville to do what I enjoy the most in the town that I love. I have a degree in Chemical Engineering, but I do irrigation design, consulting and troubleshooting for a local landscaping company. It certainly beats sitting behind a desk staring at a computer screen all day. I love my dog, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, beautiful people, Fayetteville, duck season, my Wakarusa Family, STELLA!!!, warm cozy winter fires, my Jamcruise Family and this...... td td td td.text

My Interests

Anything outside. Camping, canoeing, hiking, taking the dogs to the park, music festivals, getting out of the city as often as I can, lying in a field, staring at the sky, enjoying life as simply as possible without getting caught up, Sunday morning Miles Davis or Pat Metheny, cooking wild game, drinking beer, playing washers.......... yeah, anything outside.

I'd like to meet:

People who love living life. Screw waiting for the storm to pass......get out and dance in the rain! Easy-going, down-home folks who enjoy listening to good music and being outside. Life's too short to be unhappy, so I try and surround myself with passionate yet laid-back, happy people.

Music:

The Dead, Steve Kimock, Ozric Tentacles, Bluetech, moe., Pnuma Trio, Keller Williams, Galactic, Blue Turtle Seduction, My-Tea Kind, John Coltrane, Railroad Earth, STS9, P-funk, Leftover Salmon, older Phish, Pat Metheny Group, ANY Karl Denson Project, Mountain of Venus, Panic, Perpetual Groove, Radiohead, Steely Dan, Bela Fleck, Thievery Corporation, Tool, Miles Davis, MMW, http://www.groovera.com (ambient, chill-out internet radio), London-underground, anything that feeds your head, anything groovy or funky that you can dance to. Anything that puts a huge, shit-eatin' grin on your face. I'm pretty much a live music junkie.

Movies:

I don't watch a lot of movies or television, but I like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, A Clockwork Orange, Legend, Easy Rider, Glastonbury, The Usual Suspects, Dream with the Fishes, Killing Zoe, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Pan's Labyrinth, August Rush, Juno, WWII movies and documentaries. I'm a huge Stanley Kubrick fan.

Television:

Not much, but if I'm watching it, it's usually the National Geographic Channel, The History Channel, or Comedy Central. Television is the mind killer. Actually, I haven't even plugged my TV into the wall since I moved back.

Books:

Everyone should read more colors.

Heroes:

Daniel Bernoulli:Bernoulli's Equation is how I make a living.
