Loco was born and raised in the Uk but has been residing in Holland for that
past 5 years. In the past two years he had entered the Drum and bass scene
in Amsterdam via the Amsterdam bar and squat scene playing at parties
throughout Amsterdam week in week out. This continued until around late 2002
when Loco met up with Kulu to form Carbonbeatz and start there own monthly
parties. The break through in parties came through in Late 2003 when Hype
was brought over to help celebrate there year as carbonbeatz in the Melkweg,
These parties continued throughout the year bringing names such as Keaton,
Ink, J Majik and Grooverider to Amsterdam.
When these parties came to an end late 2004 things were a bit quiet as Loco
started on the production tip and also djing outside of the Country in
places such as at Konkrete Jungle in New York and back to the Uk play
alongside mampi swift for New nation. Loco plays a varied selection of tunes
depending on the crowd, from labels such as critical, bassbin and hospital
through to violence, hardware, commercial suicide and barcode.
In 2005 Loco became resident for Amsterdamamged and also for Essential bass at the Studio 80 after just celebrating amsterdamages 2 year anniversary at club XQ with Red one and Fluid.
With amsterdamaged and Essential Bass on the rise they brought such names as Raiden, Kasra, Blame, Subject 13, Breakage, Bryan Gee and Cyantific Drum to play in Amsterdam.
Into 2006 with production slowly coming through Loco & Quest 1 were asked to play at innovation in the Dam which brought together 1500 ravers into the Venues Kingdom and The Oceandiva and they also played in the Summer at the Innovation in the Sun Festival on the charge recordings night alongside mampi swift, Friction, Hype and Blame. Also in 2006 there resident parties at studio 80 are getting greater with each night with Randall doing a 3 hour set in Feb to a sold out venue for Skitty and Noisia on queensday.Expanding the scene within amsterdam, amsterdamaged teamed up with ichione to present Teebee, Paradox and Seba at the melkweg with future partnerships to come. Still to come this year Loco and quest one have invited Chase n Status, Kasra, Senses and Subfocus to the shores of holland with other dates up and coming in london and europe having already been to play in Mexico and Denmark
