Hailing from our nation's capitol of Washington,D.C. and raised in Houston, TX, Shadow Black'S production is influenced from the diversity and creativity that once reigned supreme, but is now lacking in today's music. Growing up hearing old 70's records that his parents played at home was the spark that ignited his fiery passion for music production and entertainment. Prior to Shadow Black mastering the art of beat making and music production he had mastered dancing , one of the key elements of hip hop. Being influenced by Michael Jackson at the age of eight to dance led Shadow to become a professional hip hop dancer by the age of 15 dancing for MC Breed , Ghetto Boys , SPM, and many others. Amidst his dancing career, Shadow Black continued to succeed winning auditions to perform with tha WNBA's Houston Comets and the NBA's Houston Rockets basketball teams. After 10 years of dancing with his legs and feet , Shadow Black caught the nack for creating hip hop beats and now lets his hands and fingers dance on the ivory and black keys. You can hear his aggressive production under the vocals of many prominent and up and coming Houston artist such as HAWK, Pokey, Lil O, Mike Jones, Devin Da Dude, Bun B, Baby Bash, K-Reno of South Park Coalition, and Big Erb of Trinety Garden Cartel. As the list continues to grow so does Shadow Black's talent and popularity making him a viable and necessary key player within the movement of urban music.
