You can give without loving but you can't love without giving.

About Me

I'd say I'm spontaneous yet I'm logical when it comes to actions and decision making. Curious by nature, cautious by experience. In other words, I'm not going to jump off of a bridge without a parachute unless I have to. I love to laugh and enjoy those things in life that cause laughter but who doesn't. I enjoy watching a good comedy but think a little mystery and suspense is needed in both life and entertainment. I'm laid back and easy going for the most part and I can't remember the last time I had a bad day, bad moments are another thing. They come and they go, I don't think we should dwell there. I believe there's no such thing as a stupid question if the person asking the question doesn't know the answer. What better way to learn? Experience may be the best teacher but never under estimate the value of adequate preparation. Perhaps the simplest and best way to learn more about me is to ask.

My Interests

My interests vary depending on time, place and life events. Including but not limited to, family, friends and laughter. I enjoy writing poetry, humor and stuff that's a little more serious. Then there's photography, nature, good company and good conversation as well as some solitude. I think computers and the internet are cool just as most people do today. I enjoy a good comedy, mystery/suspense or horror flick (blood and guts not required) or something educational. I don't watch the news or the weather regularly. They seldom get the weather right unless it's obvious and I don't think political affiliation should determine how a story is reported. Besides, it can't rain on your parade if you've got the sunshine in your heart. Life's like a roller coaster, you never know what tomorrow may bring or what adventure may be right around the corner. You just have to hang on and try and enjoy the ride.

I'd like to meet:

"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born." Anaïs Nin

Music:

I like most all music but I don't really care for rap. I can't say I have a favorite, someone I could listen to all day, day in and day out. Variety works for me.

Movies:

Comedies get my attention first but I also enjoy mystery/suspense or a good thriller. A good movie is a good movie regardless.

Television:

I'm open when it comes to television but I think laughter is the best medicine.

Books:

Just about anything written for friends of Bill W. If you understood that you know what books I've read the most. After that I get enough e-mail to get caught up on my reading. If I get bored I tease the scammers and spammers. You should try that.

Heroes:

My parents. Without them, I wouldn't exist.

A Little Reality Check

It was just after dark as I sat outside and for a change the temperature had all ready dropped into the seventies. A steady gentle breeze stirred the night air just enough that when combined with the...

The following companies kind of goofed on their company website names. I think a little editing ahead of time would have helped. All of these are legitimate companies that didn't spend quite enough ti...

Summing up Politics and Politicians

I got this in an e-mail but I think it pretty well sums up politics.   While walking down the street one day a US senator is tragically hit by a truck and dies. His soul arrives in heaven an...

For as long as there's been love there have been love songs. The chances are, most of us have a song that reminds us of that special moment in our lives when we first knew we loved someone. If that be...
