About Me

The Educated Guess are a St. Louis-based rock and roll band that in 2007 recorded an 18 song double album at Smith/Lee Productions. The four piece outfit is currently on their 2008 Midwest Summer Reunion Tour, and will start recording their third album in early August.

BEAUTIFUL STRANGERS (2007)
Though drawing from music of the 1960s, their sprawling debut album has a feel neither dated nor retro. A conceptual work dealing with convictions of decadence and grace, Beautiful Strangers' 11 song arc spans across hauntingly emotional narratives, epic melodies, tight construction, and detailed sonic texture. Beautiful Strangers works as a cohesive whole, interweaving melodic themes with its lyrical concept before building to a cathartic climax and uplifting resolution--not easily digested with one or two listens.
