DJ Brett Brisbois

Thomas’ Myspace Editor V4.4 DJ Brett Brisbois has been an entertainment fixture within the Long Island (New York) club scene since 1982, and chances are very good that one of your nights out on the town have made you privy to his high powered and often colorful sets. While many of todays DJ’s lean towards programming unique underground shows, Brett focuses the majority of his energy on providing familiar and popular material, albeit often re edited to provide maximum dancefloor appeal. Classic hits (whether Rock or Dance) remixed to fit todays club profile are always abundant during the program, and a point of interest is that many of these same revisited tracks received there update in Brett’s own home studio "Forever Q Studios" located on eastern Long Island. Long residencies are a trademark of this career DJ, with many of his stays often exceeding 2 years in a single location. "I enjoy the process of taking an ailing room, rebuilding it, then playing it through much of its life span" states Brett, and with such an impressive resume behind him it would appear that technique has a great deal of merit. Historically hailing from the small club environment where you must maximize your show for impact or face the prospect of unemployment, Brett has now taken his unique gift of getting people into a frenzy to the next level by performing in larger venues while still applying the same feverish pace that has made him a popular destination weekend after weekend. Currently Brett maintains a Friday night residency at Club Above @ Port Jazz (Port Jefferson, New York, 11pm - 4am), and can frequently be seen making guest appearances at other Long Island hot spots.
