Warfield project

Nothin better than the fruits of being a woman

About Me

The Warfield project has been under construction for close to a year now. Olivia has been performing around Portland since 2001. Never singing before in her life, she came out of Peoria Illinois, and began at Chop Sticks on kaorke nights. She moved out to Portland, to attend Portland State University on a track and field scholarship. After being out here for a couple of years she put an add in the paper to put together her own band. Now in 2004 she is working on her first album "The Definition of Liv" that will be out in spring on 2005. Liv and her band have performed a various places such as the Ohm, Berbattis, Bitter End, Crystal Ballroom, Machineworks, Fez ballroom, Mt.Tabor, Ash Street Saloon, NW Music Fest, The Bite, and various other events and places in Portland.Sedell Jones, Keyboard player, has been working with Liv for a little over a year and will be producing her album through Rumblefish Studio this spring. Although Liv's voice is a phenominon to the science of music, The Warfield project would not bellow the same with out Sedell, Terry, and AG.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.livwarfield.com
Band Members: Sedell Jones is Portland's Finest Keyboard player and producer! Ain't no beats like yo beats DEL... big ups! Terry Kason on the drums...as sick as it gets. AG on the guitar tears it up with every performance.
Influences: Eryka, Jill Scott, Mary J, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Billie Holliday...to mention a few.
Sounds Like: No artists should be compared to who they sound similar to, because your not a true artist unless you have a uniqueness. Olivia has the same soul filled sound as Eryka or Jill Scott, but brings an unmatchable vintage sound with her live band and extremely powerful voice.
Record Label: MoonChild Records
Type of Label: Indie
