About Me

Quick info about myself: I am still relatively new to the Bloomington – Normal after moving here from Toledo, OH to attend graduate school at ISU. The experience has been pretty good so far, I’m getting settled into my own apartment and GA job, playing hockey in an adult league here in town, and met some pretty good friends so far. My interests and hobbies include lifting weights and working out (which I need to do far more often), reading, and being outdoors and active. I love to play hockey! In my free time I also like to just hang out with friends and go out to eat and to have a few drinks at the local watering holes.

Random Quote Section:
"Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterward. And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." ~ Abraham Lincoln
"A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned how to walk forward." Franklin D. Roosevelt
“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Character is what you really are: Reputation is merely what you are perceived to be” Coach John Wooden
“If we use yesterday's lessons to prosper our time today, we will have a blessed reward when tomorrow comes”
“Don't let your past dictate who you are, but let it be part of who you become.”
“Let me tell you this: if you meet a loner, no matter what they tell you, it's not because they enjoy solitude. It's because they have tried to blend into the world before, and people continue to disappoint them.”
"People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that's bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they're afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try and hide their pain. But they're wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain." - Jim Morrison
