About Me

I write music in a lot of different styles but it was breakbeat that gave me a real love of clubbing so my dance music output tends to be that way inclined and led to me signing a deal with The Payback Project in late 2005. I've always been into music, playing violin and piano as a kid then getting into bands and finally into producing on a playstation back in 1996. Well. . playstation to Mac G5...its a rocky road. A road fraught with subby squelches and distorted womps and as a result a road worth travelling. I'm into my mixing too and hold a residency at Leeds' most awesome Friday night Surrounds @ MyHouse. The single: SubMarine / Good to You is available now to download from www.breakbeatonline.com and many other sites. iDJ awarded it the honour of 'Tune of the Month' in their April Edition. THANK YOU iDJ!!NOW PLAYING: Some old / some new (April 14th 2009). Now people. . don't be put off by the recently added tracks such as 'Dark White' or 'F.U.C.K'. These tracks are the slightly darker side of Rebel Sketchy and sit firmly in the electronica camp. A while ago (2003) I wanted to create some music that was my homage to some of the producers I love on Warp and Ninja and (with the inclusion of 'Broken Robot' and 'Rippleseed') these four tracks formed part of an EP that I hope managed to accomplish my goals. Those of you that fear the sounds of electronics falling apart, avert your ears. The rest of you. .
