About Me

M-Y's BIO...
He walks into the room with this demeanor, this swagger not seen Uptown since the days of Bumpy Johnson. I mean, many have come and gone, but none like this cat. This self proclaimed “Professional Good Time” has no problems boasting about his college degree, or his experiences in the streets. Great ones and the less mentionables alike, all find themselves in a state of awe when it comes to him. From his style and his mannerisms, all the way down to the way that he speaks, the man exudes confidence. In an industry that is almost entirely black and white, his sound is surprisingly grey. For whatever reason, things which are viewed as intriguing are the most fascinating to people. They spark one’s imagination and let it drive down all roads of possibility. Such enigmas, such mysteries make life that much more interesting. While always walking that very thin line between the corporate world and the hood, the man who goes by the name M Y Sterious (or simply M-Y for short) is definitely one of a kind.
Hip hop is so saturated right now with the same thing that no one appreciates (let alone gets excited) about anything / anyone. No one is having fun It’s just a lot of senseless babble about how ‘real’ they are. Same story, same format, same styles. All of these hard‘rappers’ and ‘hustlers’ are getting so redundant that people who know anything about the genre understand that we won’t make it if something doesn’t change soon. There is no originality anymore. Music needs the next wave of artists, songwriters, and entertainers that step into this industry to take the hip hop culture to another level. Something new, but familiar…something MYSTERIOUS. After every recession, there is a renaissance. So, it’s only a matter of time before good music comes back for good.
If talent won't do it, persistence will...but M-Y Renaissance is coming
