***note on "(i'm always touched by your) presence, dear" : about 15 years ago or so, backstage at one of the gigs, a friend/musician asked me this :" if you were to choose a 7-inch single to send to space because the earth would explode in 30 seconds, which one would it be?" well, it was a tough choice to make.... "be my baby" (by ronettes) or "presence dear" (hit for blondie, written by gary valentine), the latter song being eventually the one to be sent to outer entities as best earth single ever. and that's why i added it to my page.... ***

SONGS OF THE WEEK : "pony girl punishment" by my old band red zebra. this is exactly what an alembic bass and an svt bass amp sound like! "i know a girl i know a boy" got its sound mostly from an angry telecaster bass and a very old vox ac-50. i kinda tortured the 18 inch speaker cab...
