Philly and the Blunts

About Me

To put it bluntly, Philly and the Blunts has emerged into the Winnipeg band scene as a hit. Over the short span of their musical existance, the band has had the unique opportunity of playing two music festivals, competing in and winning Battle of the Bands, and has attracted a huge following. With influences such as Sublime, Bob Marley, and other snippets of musical legends, Philly and the Blunts has a sound appreciated by everyone. The blunts are fronted by rhythm guitarist and singer, Phil Rosario (Philly), and backed up by Eli Matas (drums), Jesse Perry (saxophone), Chris Muirhead (bass) and Zack Kinnahan (lead guitar). Each member has distinct musical taste, and when brought together, the band collaborates to make an irresistable groove, that gets everyone dancing and singing along. In the spring of 2006, the Blunts headed into the studio to record an LP. A full-length album is being worked on, though no release date has been announced. Enjoy the page, and comment as you wish.
