Abraxas formed when Craig and Kane met whilst working at a music shop in Barrow. They were sick of the lack of metal music around the town at the moment and wanted to get some decent metal out there. After discussing what they wanted they got together with danny and kane started putting together some songs. The line up wasn't finally completed untill Ryan was suggested as a bassist by Claire. The band were on the search for a new drummer after Danny moved away to persue other bands in manchester and the place wasn't finally taken untill Jake was tried out for a practice and ended up coming up with a new song to add to the set.
Since then they've been comprising a set of real groove metal songs and are bringing some local metal music back to the area.
