About Me

Some people like to go out dancing. Other people have to work. I have to work. I like conversations. I have learned most of what I know from good dialogue. I am a musician. I enjoy the manipulation of sound. I am allergic to cats, so if you have one don't be offended if I don't come over. Ok, so I added this recording I did of a Teenage Fanclub song called Guiding Star. I plan on doing a little more to make it interesting, but here it is as it is now.

My Interests

Systems Theory: living and non-living. I swear to god, it is the only way I can understand any of this craziness. I'm interested in the intersection between science and philosophy and that which is a product of this interaction: art, religion, and politics. Are those really products of the intersection between science and philosophy? I don't know.

I'd like to meet:

I am in a band called "The Courtesy Line" with Mike Cheman, Wayne Ward and Mike Borlik. We have a myspace page with tunes and info and stuff. http://www.myspace.com/thecourtesyline. We have a 5-song demo out entitled "Needle and Thread EP." We recorded most of it at Ron Price's house in New Market. The rest of it was recorded at mine and Wayne's houses, respectively. Me and Wayne did all the mixing and I did the mastering. It was a learning experience.

Macaca

Macaca. It's an incredible thing when the balance of power in a divided country hinges on one word. Had the former governor and soon to be departing senator of Virginia, George Allen, been able to hol...

Divided Government

If we want real progress, we need the kind of seismic friction that comes with opposing views. When the few branches of government are dominated by any one party, it is just such a thing that is lacki...
