Aitch

About Me

Born and raised in Liverpool, Aitch began her singing career with a recording session at the age of 12. Having spent the ensuing years providing backing vocals for many Liverpool artists, she made the move to London, where the majority of session work was. She has worked regularly with Jools Holland on The Hootenanny, Later, and 'Friends' albums, and has sung with many of the artists appearing, including Tom Jones, Edwin Starr, Suggs, Lulu, Solomon Burke, Prince Buster, Jimmy Cliff, and Lonnie Donnegan to name but a few. Aitch can be heard on many recordings, and has also worked live with a list of artists which includes David Gilmour (Meltdown), Deep Purple (Albert Hall), Ronnie Wood, Roger Daltrey, Michael MacDonald, Mavis Staples, Joe Walsh (Fender Strat Pack Concert), Paul Rogers, Gary Moore, Joe Cocker, Van Morrison (Lonnie Donegan Tribute Concert-Albert Hall), Paul Carrack, and more recently with KT Tunstall, Corrine Bailey Rae, James Blunt, James Morrison, Paul Weller, Robert Plant, and Amy Winehouse. As well as vocal arranging, and coaching, Aitch is also an accomplished songwriter, performing her own songs on both piano, and guitar, and was invited to sing lead vocals at the Albert Hall accompanied by Jon Lord at the piano, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She is a memeber of a quite unique sounding a capella Choir, and a rocking little covers band. She is currently completing her first album, and hopes to be able to share it soon.
