Dirty Macadosciousâ„¢ (EOW US CHAMP 2008)

Reinvention of one's self is one way to depict on what I (Dirty Mac), do in every single performance, freestyle, written material and overall as a human being. Born with an "NJ" mind frame, my first biggest step in getting involved with the Rap/Hip Hop culture is being put onto Make A Move Records since its development in 2004. My first stages of rapping came about the age of 13 when I had no pure knowledge on how the hip hop culture and rap were of two separate genera's. At that time of my age, rap was anything that I heard on the radio at that time, which wasn't a appealing to me due to the repetitiveness I kept hearing in rap songs with every single rapper saying the exact same thing, but with a different voice. Gaining acceptance to the music at a young age, I was still unappreciated and unaware of other music inspiring the specific genera of rap. At the time, I just though rap existed. Everything you heard on the radio existed. During the course of time, meeting up with different people expanded my rap interests by putting me on music that was out there, but not heard on the radio. "Underground Rap" came into play. Discovering artists that were not on a mainstream level because of their choosing, gave me an insight that anybody who is anybody, no matter what you look like, can get themselves involved and put their foot through the door so that their voices are heard as much as anybody who is on a mainstream level. Guarantees can never be made in an industry like this. Everybody wants that shine. As an emcee/artist, I try to bring something a lot different to the plate in terms of attitude, music, style and personality. Being around so many different and experienced emcees who have graced a mic have made me learned a lot about how respect is earned and given. Even though at a young age, I feel theres enough time to get the word out, I honestly don't know when my last day will ever be. It's never something you could really predict. At the same, looking at who I am, you never could have expected someone like me to rap right? Keep an open mind next time. The possibilities are way beyond endless.
