About Me

I love my kids, my husband, my dogs, my family, and my friends (who are really part of my family too).
I love to be around people that make me smile and laugh!
I love the ocean…it is where my soul longs to be close to!
I have met a lot of different people in my life that have helped me to be diverse!
I grant to them the thanks of the person I have become!
I love being a psychiatric nurse!
Sometimes I don't really like my job when the frustration of the 'politics' of healthcare shows its ugly face.
I believe healthcare should only be about the patient and whatever it takes to make their care the best........to hell with the rest of the games!
I have had the opportunity to work with some wonderful people in my career that really care about the community that we serve and I have had the misfortune of working with some that do not…Thankfully, most of the ones that do not care move on. I try to learn from people like that.
I stand strong in my battle of advocacy that every person that I care for with a diagnosis of a mental illness is a person with the right of opportunity to be a contributing member of our society to the best of their ability! I try to blog about issues that help to decrease the stigma and educate.
I feel angry about the stigma of mental illness!
Its roots tangle with pure ignorance!
I would like to be a part in helping to change that!
I use Myspace to keep in touch with my friends and family members.
