Health justice is my passion. I'm currently working as a provider at an LA county hospital, serving primarily the uninsured, underinsured, and undocumented. And i'm always dreaming and scheming (with others) about broader health justice issues. A few friends and I recently created a new online health justice community -- Cure This! .
DJing/producing music is my passion. I DJ drumnbass/jungle/hiphop/triphop/experimental electronic/dub/grime/yomama. I was a resident DJ at a monthly event called M U T I N Y , NYC. It lasted for a good 6 years (i was in for the latter 4 of them). Our crew djed and hosted djs/musicians who played drumnbass/hiphop/experimental electronic crazy shit, sometimes with some eastern/indian influences (and i'm not talking cheesy bollywood songs mixed with hiphop, i'm talking tabla breaks and asian electronic music infused with drumnbass/hiphop). I absolutely love creative pushing-the-envelope djing and music production (note to folks looking for exotic indian djs -- back off, or i'll show you exotic). I'm also working on some original productions, to be posted online shortly. And sometimes i practice my amazing spoken word skills in the shower. They're not for public sharing just yet...
