Jeeves & Wooster

What ho, what ho, what ho?

About Me

No page for Betram Wilberforce Wooster on MySpace?
What rot! We’ll just see about that, won’t we, Jeeves?
I'm afraid it's quite inevitable, sir.
I am better known as Bertie Wooster: incurable bachelor and gentleman on the prowl in the city of London. While in town, I love nothing better than lunching with my pals at the Drone's Club and learning the latest jazz tunes from across the pond.
While in the country, I stay with my friends at their manor homes. My friends and relations all manage to coerce me into their schemes. I must say, I bloody well get in the thick of it. Luckily my secret weapon is always at hand to save the day; however I would go so far to say that he gets more credit than he deserves from time to time. People seem to underestimate the constitution of the Wooster blood and the immense surges of brainpower. I am often given the short end of the stick as it were, but I notice they come running back for my counsel every time!
My Aunt Agatha, the one who eats broken bottles and turns into a werewolf at the time of the full moon, is constantly trying to get me to tie the wedding noose around my neck.
*shiver* She refers to Jeeves as my keeper. I say, ol' thing, what’s wrong with that?

Always at my side is my gentleman's gentleman, the man who would be the other half of my brain if I had one, Reginald Jeeves. My faithful valet. For your information Jeeves takes a size 14 hat, eats tons of fish and moves in mysterious ways his wonders to perform. He's got the most mind-boggling cure for a hangover--a recipe that was passed down through the ranks of the Jeeves family tree.
Never a more trustworthy fellow can be found!
I can hardly do without him. The last valet pinched my socks!

Hugh Laurie on "The Actor's Studio"

Did you see it?  Quite a spiffing interview and he sang a dashed funny song he wrote called "Mysterious".  Very interesting fellow.  But, of course, that's why we're all here, eh?
