Hi all MYSPACE users! I'm Colleen. You wanna know about me? Well, first and foremost, I am a Christian. But not any average, everyday, "weak-sauce" christian. I am a disciple of Christ because thats what the word "Christian" means. It means Christ-like. My whole life has changed for the better ever since I decided to surrender to the LORD two years ago. I took me almost two years to study the bible and get baptized into God's kingdom. It took so long for many reasons. I was VERY worldly. I would run after things like money, clothes, education, great jobs, fine men, hot cars, drugs, foney friendships to boost my rep, and the like. I'm sure theres a lot I missed (if you've known me a long time feel free to message me to add to that list. i'm sure i forgot some things). I wanted to be sure that I had rid all that worldliness from my mind and my habits. I also went to a church long ago that told me that I was saved because I went up to an alter call and prayed Jesus into my heart. I was told that for about 5 years before I realized it was not the truth when I saw all the hypocrisy in the church leaders lives. When I finally found the truth in God's word from his messengers that he sent to me, it was hard to accept that all that I had learned was mostly false doctrine. But by the grace of God I made the decision to stop fighting it, let go of the past, move on, humble out and accept the truth. When I did, things became so clear. I feel so set free by the knowledge of the truth. I can have a clear conscious before God now that I know that I continue to seek him out for myself and to teach others, and that I fight everyday for his righteousness. Today I am beginning to train for the ministry. Please pray for me!
