I'm not special, I'm not rich, I'm not tall, dark or handsome, but I have acquired some skill and knowledge after decades of trial and error, a.k.a. experience. I started out my professional life as a photographer. I worked as a photojournalist and darkroom tech. I also shot portraits and weddings. Then I went to work in the corporate world as a software developer. After eight years in software engineering, I set out on my own to start my own business (January 1993). Since then, I've been running my own, humble, software/consulting business. I've been slowly morphing the business into a highly technical digital post-production operation, leveraging my deep understanding of digital imaging software algorithms, electronics, and photography/light/lenses, etc.
I've written a chroma-keyer that I packaged and sell as a Quicktime plug-in. I got started writing it because I was determined to find a way to pull a good key from low-chroma DV video. After years of working on the algorithms, I decided that someone else might find it useful.
I enjoy photography, shooting and editing movies on video, compositing video with computer generated graphics, etc. I know my way around Lightwave 3D, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Sound Track, Photoshop, the GIMP, and a few more software packages. I have recently completed 3 music videos, from which I learned a great deal.
Drop me a line, if you'd like to collaborate. I have tools and talent and I learn fast.
