When people show you who they are......believe them. Maya Angelou

About Me

Layout made byI was born in Salem, VA. I have a beautiful daughter, Shawn and am lucky to have been in love with a wonderful man for about 12 years....Steve.I've been in Georgia for almost two years. In my life, I've chosen paths that haven't always been the best and know that I've caused both headaches and heartaches to people that I've loved and cared about. I hope that with age (?!?) I've gathered enough wisdom to have overcome and make amends.I now consider myself a Spiritualist....as I find myself looking to be more spiritual in my life. I open myself to read about any religion or belief system and draw what I need from them.I love to read and spend time with family and friends, go to festivals, concerts or just cook for people that I love!!! I love discussions on music, life.....whatever stimulates your mind. And, if you hadn't realized it....I love old graveyards and cemeteries. I have lots of black and white pictures of all three cemeteries in Savannah, GA....and hope to visit more both here in the U.S. and in Europe. As I get older, my tolerance for bullshit and/or stupidity becomes smaller and smaller.....and the best advice I could give anyone would be.....DON'T LET YESTERDAY TAKE UP TOO MUCH OF TOMORROW!!!!!

My Interests

Books, music, movies, looking at antiques, going to festivals or art shows, museums, graveyards/cemeteries.....sitting and being quiet!!! Well, more often than not, I have a hard time being quiet.

I'd like to meet:

The Dalai Lama, Leonardo Da Vinci, Monet, Salvador Dali, Mary Magdalene, Eve, Lao Tzu, Jesus, Thomas Jefferson......there are too many to list

Music:

I have such varied interests in music. One day you might find me listening to Disturbed, the next, Alison Kraus and Union Station. John Mayer, Corrine Baily Rae....it really depends on my mood at that moment.

Movies:

The Green Mile, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Notebook, Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves, Pride and Prejudice, Arsenic and Old Lace....all of the Harry Potter movies and if you don't watch old school black & whites, check out something by Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Humphrey Bogart, they are real movies....and loooooove scary movies not gross out slasher ones, real scary movies)!!!

Television:

CSI, the original, not the fakers, NCIS....anything on National Geographic, Food Network, A&E, Discovery, the History Channel, TMC, AMC, TLC, HGTV....public television...that's right...I said public television

Books:

The Mists of Avalon, Ann Rice's Vampire Series, Dan Brown, Nora Roberts, Adrianna Trigiani, any murder/forensic story, Dean Koontz, old Steven King, I'll read pretty much anything...if, that is, IF the person is a great storyteller!!

Heroes:

My mother and father along with my boyfriend, family and friends....I am so blessed! I'm going to try to remember that!
