There is not much about me out of the ordinary. I look ordinary, I have a very boring life (to others, not to me), I have a normal job, and a normal (if that's possible) family. Despite all of that, I am the luckiest woman alive - I have the greatest family (and now, in-law family as well) and friends, the most wonderful and loving husband, a steady job and great co-workers, a cozy little apartment, and a car that runs and is paid for. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Who am I kidding with that crap? I do have a great family, and great friends, but I'm not ordinary. I freakin rock, and if you need confirmation, just ask me. I'll be happy to tell you. I look in the mirror every day, and think, "Gosh, if I hadn't married my husband, I'd have married myself." Really.

You may be smooshie and taste unnatural, but you're so darn cute. What Kind of Candy Are You?
How do you stop a clown from smiling?
You scored as Jason Varitek, You are Jason Varitek. You are a natural leader and are highly respected by many. You are tough and will duke it out with any purple-lipped princess when it comes to defending your buddies, which makes you a very loyal friend. Oh Captain, my captain!

My Interests

Happy Bunny
First and foremost are my cartoons. With all the idiot people I deal with in my week, my cartoons are my sanity by Friday afternoon. I miss the Boomerang channel (Comcast, apparently, has no demand for cartoon channels), which is still my all-time favorite TV channel. Second (and not by much), the Boston Red Sox. 2004 World Champs (if there is such a thing in a competition limited to the US teams), and they had the presence of mind to retain Jason Varitek - arguably one of the best players in baseball today. Tied with the Sox are my Boyz - Dallas, that is. No matter what happens this year, next year, or 10 years from now, they will always be the true football dynasty. (Screw Brady and the Patsies) Third would have to be sun and beaches. I'm not talking about the tourist-choked places like Cancun and such. I mean places like Tahiti, Seychelles, and Fiji - white sand beaches with you, the sun, and the water, and nothing else - I'd be very happy on a deserted island with the Sox, the Boyz and a TV capable of picking up the Boomerang channel.

I'd like to meet:

I'd give my left arm and 10 years of my life to sit down with Metallica for a day (or go on tour with the, whichever is more convenient). Hands down my favorite band of all time, I've done some pretty crazy stuff to see them play, and would do it all again in a heartbeat. I'd also like the opportunity to meet my grandfather (passed before I was born), and though I certainly met my grandmother (she passed when I was 15), I would love to be able to sit with her for a few months and hear her life story.

Music:

Happy Bunny
Yes, and lots of it. Though Metallica holds the number one spot in my overall musical picture, there is really a wide variety of genres I listen to. Country, rap, rock, classical, pop, R & B, latin, metal, and a whole lot more can be found on my radio. Oh, and (shameless plug) Sirius radio rocks. Worth every penny. Once you go... never mind, but you get the idea.

Movies:

Happy Bunny
I'm very picky about my movies. I don't care for anything that will scare or gross out. I'm much more in to comedies (though they're usually dumb ones like Ace Ventura and Kung Pow: Enter the Fist), and the occasional foray into action or adventure (as long as it has some comedic bits). Also, any animated movie by Disney or Pixar (what can I say - I'm a little kid at heart) is usually a good bet.

Television:

Happy Bunny
Ah, TV. Funny how you can grow up without something, and never think twice about it, but the minute it becomes available, you can't live without it. I have come to the conclusion that I watch way too much TV for my own good, and that, at some point, I will have to cut back on my intake, but for now, TV is my sanity when I get home from work. I deal with stupidity on a regular basis, and I don't get paid nearly enough to deal with that much idiocy, so I have to do something to numb the pain in my head after a day at the office. Cartoons are still my first choice, and probably will be for a long time, but since Comcast doesn't offer the Boomerang channel, I've branched out a bit. Among other things, I've discovered... well, the Discovery channel, specifically MythBusters. I would probably give up an arm to be on that show, even without the blowing-stuff-up part. My husband and I decided that we "needed" a movie channel package, too, so that's working out well. And of course, there's my sports. Thankfully, the Boyz are doing better now, so I have something to watch on ESPN. And on my sick days, or the days I just don't feel like getting up any earlier than, say, 10am, it's game show time. The Price is Right just gets better every year, and Bob Barker will be sorely missed when he leaves.

Books:

Happy Bunny
I love books, but as with my movies I'm very picky. I hate books with long stretches of narrative and little action or interesting parts. I love mysteries, and I love sarcastic humor - Carl Hiaasen is one of my favorite authors. As silly as it seems, one of my favorite series is still Redwall - I read the original around the age of 9 or so, and I've bought and read every one ever since. Though some of the newer ones don't carry the same spirit as the older ones, they are interesting nonetheless, and I will probably continue to read as long as Brian Jacques continues to write. (And, OK, I'll admit it, I'm a closet Harry Potter junkie, too - I have to admit, once you read one, you want to know what happens in all the others)

Heroes:

My hero is my husband. He is a Senior Airman in the Air Force (hopefully, soon to be a Staff Sergeant), the bravest man I know (well, it might be a toss-up between him and my dad), and he does his job with honor and dignity, day in and day out.
